The most affordable ways to add an additon to your home include coverting or renovating an existing basement or garage or coverting an existing room into two. These options allow you to use space that you already have more efficiently.

To add an addition onto your home or onto your property in Ontario you will need a permit and drawings. We assist in this process and work with engineers and architects. We usually meet with you first to discuss a layout and create a budget for your project. This involves creating a scope of work, an estimate, and a design consultation.

Adding an addition onto your home can cost between $200 to $600 a square foot depending on size, location, how many bathrooms, and rooms you are looking to have. We sit down with clients to determine their need for space and create a plan within their budget.  

In Ontario, you need permission and need to apply for a building permit to add on to your home. This usually involves an application to the city that you live in and must include drawings that have been signed by an engineer or architect. We work with these local professionals and help our clients through the permit proccess.
